Senior Fitness Cardio    Mondays -10:15-11:00am  

Midtown Senior Fitness offers a modern blend of physical activity, healthy lifestyle and socially oriented programming that allows older adults to take greater control of their health. This is a cardiovascular workout done to the Oldies Music. 

            SilverSneakers® Classic (strength and range of motion)

          Tuesdays/ Thursdays: 9:00-10:00am

Strength circuit for seniors with a focus on major muscle groups. Dumbbells, balls, and resistance bands will be used in this class.

        SilverSneakers® Yoga/Stretch Wednesdays: 10:15-11am

Yoga-Stretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Midtown senior fitness offers a modern blend of physical activity, healthy lifestyle and socially oriented programming that allows older adults to take greater control of their health.

Midtown seniors receive a fitness center membership with access to fitness classes, exercise equipment, and other available amenities. Senior classes include gym use for free during designated hours.

Midtown senior classes are designed for older adults who want to improve their strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance.

Our specially trained senior fitness expert Amy, will introduce you to our program. Senior fitness is a proven, results-oriented program that enables older adults, often burdened with chronic conditions, to take charge of their health and maintain an active, independent lifestyle.  

SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength & Range of Movement
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

SilverSneakers® CardioFit
Get Up & Go with an aerobics class for you – safe, heart-healthy and gentle on the joints. The workout includes easy-to-follow low-impact movement, and upper-body strength, abdominal conditioning, stretching and relaxation exercises designed to energize your active lifestyle.

SilverSneakers® YogaStretch
YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
